 My Site

After i researched numerous fashion sites paying close attention in the way they are organising their online pages, how is the layout of the menus and of each page, i then focused more on the actual ZARA site. The design and layout of Zara's site is pretty simple and minimal and it works really well with the brand's aesthetic in general, so i decided for my site to use a similar layout. The only difference is going to be that i will probably narrow down the categories and options of the menu, since i will not need them as i'm not creating an actual fashion site that people would be able to see the clothing and shop online.

Editorial

I found this particular editorial that really inspired and made me think that i want to create a similar. More specifically the reason why i like this editorial is that it mixes evening clothes and accessories with casual something that is also evident from its title which is "Evening wear to daytime".What i will try to do is keep as a main idea this editorial and create my interpretation of it, but of course without out forgetting the minimal way of style of the company.

Location

The location of the shoot, is going to be in the centre of a city, specifically in Athens. I will choose a beautiful road and a nice building to shoot my model. I also love the shot of Zara's editorial with the model that was outside in a street and the photographer was in a building and shot the model from inside. For that reason i made a research of photoshoots like that because i will try doing it for my editorial too.

Make Up & Hair

ZARA tends to keep its minimalistic style even in the make up and hair of the models that they are using. The brand uses models that look always young and fresh and they create on them really simple clean effortless looks that seem almost natural. For my editorial

i will keep it simple as well, not only because of that, but also because i will use some clothes and accessories that we tend to wear in night-outs so i don't want my looks to become "too much" since it is going to be daytime.

GIF

Above there are some examples of Zara's GIF. The main idea behind them again is really simple. The model is doing a couple of moves an the photographer is shooting constantly. For my GIF my original idea was to do something like the first or the third one. I realised though that our GIFs have to be created without an actual model in them. For that reason i had two ideas and i will try to create both. The first one is to use some nice shoes an put them in different positions and take shots. After when i make it as GIF it will be like the second GIF above, but it will look like the shoes are magic, since no one will be wearing them. My second idea was to have a bag and a necklace, put the bag in a specific place and the necklace in an other far away from the bag. Then i will start changing the necklaces positions, moving it closer and closer to the bag until i drop it in. Then this will look again as a magic necklace walking and going in a bag.
